The Mountain Home High School boys’ tennis team left Searcy on Tuesday with the ultimate prize. The Bombers won the Class 5A State Tournament, finishing ahead of Valley View in the team standings.
Mountain Home was led by Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin, the winners of the boys’ doubles bracket. Blackmon and Chafin began the day with their semifinal match as they beat William Dickey and Weldon Woods of Little Rock Christian. Blackmon and Chafin later advanced to the championship match and defeated Ben Roper and Benjamin Hyneman of Valley View.
