The third annual JamFest, hosted by the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mountain Home, returns this Saturday from 10 to 5 at Hickory Park.

JamFest aims to bring the community together and celebrate everything local. The day will be full of live music, vendors, a jam competition, a kid’s zone, a car show, and more.

Sofie and the New Relics will be one of the headlining artists performing at the Festival. Sofie Smithson, the vocalist and one of the guitarists for the band, says they play all kinds of music with a particular interest in country and classic rock. Smithson is in her senior year of High School, but the band has been making waves and has had multiple music deals in Nashville.

Smithson says her favorite song to perform was inspired by her hometown of Greenbrier.

Participants must bring their jams to the Festival between 11 and 12. Judging begins at 3.

Jam entry is $5 per jam and will need to include a list of ingredients. It is recommended that participants use a clear half-pint jar. Winners will be announced on the stage at 3:15.
