Dale Barnett to be inducted in MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor

Another former football standout at Mountain Home will be recognized this weekend. Dale Barnett will be part of the Class of 2024 joining the MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor on Saturday.

Barnett, a 1984 Mountain Home graduate, says he feels honored to be acknowledged for his time as a Bomber from so long ago.

Barnett began growing up in Orange County, Calif., after being born in Long Beach, but they moved to Mountain Home when he was in the sixth grade. During his high school days, he would serve as the Bombers’ quarterback. He says one of his best memories he and his team had was realizing they could compete on a state level following their victory over Fayetteville.

Barnett’s talents at Mountain Home would lead to him going on to play college football at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. He says the Bomber coaching staff was crucial in preparing him for the next level.

Barnett will be inducted during the MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor Banquet Saturday at the high school cafeteria. The event will begin with the meet and greet at noon, and the meal will be served an hour later.
