The Marion County earthquake was also magnitude 1.9 occurring at 10:07 a.m. It was located 8.7 miles east of South Lead Hill, 21.4 miles west-northwest of Mountain Home, 23.4 miles east-northeast of Harrison and 30.1 miles east-southeast of Branson.

Experts say normally, earthquakes below magnitude 3 are rarely felt. However, smaller quakes from magnitude 2.0 can be felt by humans if the quake is shallow (few kilometers only) and if they are very close to the epicenter and not disturbed by ambient factors such as noise, wind, vibrations of engines, traffic, etc.

Anyone who felt the earthquakes in Marion County or Stone County can let the Geological Survey know on its website.
