A Yellville man accused of stealing jewelry while working on a project for his employers at a residence in Midway appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.

Thirty-three-year-old Jessie Benjamin Brown pled guilty to charges of breaking or entering and theft of property.

He was put on probation for six years. It was announced in court that the almost $1,400 in victim restitution had been paid in full.

The work was done in January and the jewelry was discovered missing the next month.

According to the probable cause affidavit, it was while Brown was on the job, that he took jewelry and later pawned it in Mountain Home.

The victims were taken to the pawn shop where they identified items that had been stolen. The items were reported to have been pawned for slightly less than $1,400.
