One person was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle crash in Ozark County Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 80-year-old James C. Hagedorn of St. Louis was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he died from his injuries. Taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with moderate injuries was the driver of the vehicle, 68-year-old Joan L. Hagedorn, also of St. Louis.
According to the crash report, the accident happened when the vehicle crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 160 seven miles west of Caulfield at 4:32 Tuesday afternoon.
