The Bobby D. Hulse Memorial Classic paired local teams in basketball action Thursday in Norfork. Calico Rock started the afternoon claiming a victory over Valley Springs with a final score for the boys team of 81-73. Rural Special’s team had a good night as both the boys and girls teams where able to defeat their opponent in Buffalo Island Central with scores of 56-49 and 67-50. Norfork’s girls fell to Riverside 49-22.
It was the final day of play for the Pangburn Tip-Off Classic. Jasper’s boys rough night posting losses to Greers Ferry West Side with a final score of 64-72. Timbo’s boys faced off against LISA Academy North but couldn’t secure a win; final score was 57-38.
