The Bobby D. Hulse Memorial Classic came to an end Friday at Norfork.
The host teams split with Buffalo Island Central in the first games of the day. The Panthers topped the Mustangs in the boys’ game 50-48. Norfork did not fare as well in the girls’ contest as they fell to BIC 63-44.
Flippin’s boys attempted to come from behind, but they fell short. The Bobcats lost to Riverside 67-60.
The Calico Rock girls had a rough day in the Bobby D. Hulse Gymnasium. The Lady Pirates suffered a 64-26 defeat to Riverside.
Rural Special’s teams were able to sweep Hillcrest. The Lady Rebels put the mercy rule in effect as they routed the Lady Screamin’ Eagles 52-17. The Rural Special boys followed with a 63-44 win over Hillcrest.
Bergman’s boys came up short in a high-scoring affair. The Panthers fell to Tuckerman 88-84.
Both of Viola’s boys teams ended up losing at Lead Hill’s Pink Out Night.
The Longhorns fell to the Tigers 67-40 in the senior high game. Kaden Baker led Lead Hill with 11 points, and Brett Arnold added 10.
Viola also lost the junior boys’ contest to Lead Hill 36-30. The Junior Tigers were led by Tucker Middleton with 12 points, and Gage Campbell chipped in 11.
The Mammoth Spring High School boys had a successful homecoming as they squeaked by Marmaduke 56-55. Caleb Michaels was the Bears’ top scorer with 18 points, Braxton Sneed had 13.
The Omaha High School teams picked up a sweep over Eureka Springs. The Lady Eagles invoked the mercy rule as they pounded the Lady Highlanders 66-29. Omaha’s boys also beat Eureka Springs 72-61.
