Buffalo River above flood stage in 4 areas

The rainfall has led to the Buffalo National River going above flood stage in four areas.

As of 1:45 Monday afternoon, the river was at its highest at 20.59 feet at St. Joe, over 9 feet above the flood stage of 11.12. Harriet was at 12.27 feet, with its flood stage at 10.62 feet. At 2:30, the river was at 10.14 feet at Pruitt, where the flood stage is 7.72 feet. The Buffalo River was also at 5.84 feet at Ponca, where the flood stage is 5.56 feet.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Boxley was the only area of the river at a moderate level. The Buffalo was at 4.04 feet at Boxley, where the flood stage is 8.79 feet.
