The Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society invites the public to the Grand Opening of the Baxter County Historical Museum on Nov. 7. The Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at noon. A reception will follow from noon to 2 with refreshments.
Refreshments will include cake, coffee, and root beer floats, and the first 50 people will receive a souvenir mug from the vintage soda fountain. Visitors can tour the museum, see the progress made, and receive a historic photo of the Mountain Home Square in 1900. A limited number of 1973 Centennial plates will also be given away.
Jennifer Baker spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News and said that the Historical Society is not only celebrating the grand opening of the museum but also its 50th anniversary.
