Harrison Police arrested a motorcyclist last Friday after a high-speed chase, marking the second time in six weeks the man has faced felony charges for fleeing law enforcement.
According to a Facebook post from the City of Harrison, Harrison Police Chief Chris Graddy reported that 29-year-old Robert Culver Jr. of Omaha fled from officers on Industrial Park Road around noon, reaching speeds over 80 mph and passing vehicles in turn lanes. Officers attempted to slow him by partially blocking the road, but Culver continued onto Airport Road, driving dangerously in no-passing zones and entering oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 65.
The pursuit ended when an officer rammed Culver’s motorcycle, bringing it to a stop. He was taken to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, then booked into Boone County Jail on charges of felony fleeing, reckless driving, and multiple traffic violations. Culver is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Culver had previously been arrested in September for fleeing from a deputy on a motorcycle with a 3-year-old child onboard, facing charges of felony fleeing and felony endangering the welfare of a minor. He was released on a $25,000 bond at the time and was awaiting trial.
