The Salem High School football team was able to finish the regular season Thursday with another conference championship. The Greyhounds went on the road and dominated Quitman by a final of 68-35. Salem improves to 7-3 on the year and 6-1 in the 3A-2, and with Mayflower’s overtime loss to Atkins, the Greyhounds clinched the league title outright and home field advantage for the first three rounds of the Class 3A State Playoffs.
