An Ozark County man has been arrested after allegedly stealing a camper trailer and later threatening to kill its owner. Jamie Carrillo is facing charges of harassment and theft.

According to a Facebook post from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance at Patrick Bridge on Oct. 13. Carrillo reportedly fled the scene before deputies arrived.

According to the victim, Carrillo had stolen his camper trailer days earlier from a location in Howell County. The two encountered each other by chance at Patrick Bridge, where Carrillo allegedly threatened to kill the victim for reporting the theft.

Later that evening, investigators located the stolen trailer at an RV park in Bakersfield. Deputies confirmed Carrillo was not at the scene and attempted to reach the trailer’s owner, moving to higher ground due to poor cell reception. While trying to contact the victim, deputies saw Carrillo return to the trailer on foot. Carrillo reportedly grabbed a few items and tried to flee, but deputies intercepted him on the road.

Carrillo was arrested and booked on felony charges of theft and harassment.
