Basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule and includes one more preseason tuneup for the Mountain Home High School teams. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will welcome Batesville to the Hangar for a pair of benefit games. The girls’ game tips off at 5:30 followed by the boys’ contest. Admission is $5 for all ages as set by the Arkansas Activities Association. AAA passes will be accepted.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Cotter hosts Green Forest, Norfork travels to Jasper, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Lead Hill, Viola heads to Concord, Calico Rock entertains Cedar Ridge, Izard County will hold its Black-Gray games, Mammoth Spring travels to Imboden to meet Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall makes the trip to Timbo, Mountain View’s girls head to Searcy, Rural Special travels to Shirley, Bergman makes the trip to Alpena, Valley Springs heads to Huntsville, and Ozark Mountain travels to Kingston.
Melbourne’s boys will play their opener in the Wade’s Heating and Cooling Junior High Basketball Tournament at Batesville. The Junior Bearkatz face Nettleton at 7:45.
