Hackler EAST students interview veteran during Saturday’s luncheon

Students from Hackler Intermediate School’s education accelerated by service and technology (EAST) program got the chance to say “Thank You” to local residents who have served in the military. The children from Audrey Plumlee’s class hosted a veterans luncheon on Saturday.

KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot weather watcher Gary Smith was among the veterans in attendance, and he says the kids put on a magnificent program.

Smith was also given the opportunity to be interviewed by some of the students at the luncheon. The first student he talked to was Camden Beers.
