Third Graders from Calico Rock

Throughout November, representatives from North Arkansas Electric Cooperative’s (NAEC) Sole Power Project have been delivering new shoes to third-grade students across the Twin Lakes Area.

“Concern for Community” is one of the seven principles guiding NAEC, and the Sole Power Project, now in its 11th year, reflects the co-op’s commitment to that mission. The program’s goal is to provide new shoes to all school districts within NAEC’s service area. This year, more than 870 pairs of shoes are being distributed to 13 schools.

Schools receiving shoes include Calico Rock, Cave City, Cotter, Highland, Hillcrest, Izard County Consolidated, Mammoth Spring, Melbourne, Mountain Home, Norfork, Salem, and Viola.
