Wednesday basketball schedule includes MHHS girls starting 3-day run in Springdale

High school basketball makes up much of the local Wednesday schedule and includes the Mountain Home girls in the first of three straight games in Springdale. The Lady Bombers will meet the Oklahoma Flame homeschool program in their first game at the Red Dog Invitational.
Mountain Home is currently 6-2 on the season. The Lady Bombers’ last game was Saturday when they defeated Bergman to win the championship of the Billy Ply Memorial Tournament at Flippin.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45. Wednesday’s game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.

The Battle of the Border Tournament will continue at Mammoth Spring. The boys’ game between Cotter and Viola begins at 5:30, and Calico Rock’s girls face Koshkonong, Mo., at 6:45.

The Izard County Invitational Basketball Tournament will resume at Melbourne. The host Junior Lady Bearkatz take on Cave City at 4, Izard County’s senior girls play Highland at 6, and the Melbourne senior boys will be paired with Highland at 7:15.

Mountain View’s girls will be in Batesville for their semifinal game of the Mark Martin Automotive/Lyon College High School Basketball Tournament. The Lady Yellowjackets meet Manila at 8.

Two area boys’ teams will square off in the semifinals of the Green Forest Holiday Tournament. Lead Hill faces Bergman at 7:40.
