Two teens involved in fatal El Dorado shooting will face charges as adults

Two teenage suspects involved in the fatal shooting in El Dorado on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, will face charges as adults.

17-year-old Lamar Jones and 15-year-old Jyshun Ellis have been linked to the death of 24-year-old Dayshawn Smith.

On Friday, December 13, 2024, both suspects appeared in court facing a capital murder charge, along with several other felony charges. However, the charges were later reduced to first-degree murder.

Jones and Ellis have each been given a bond of $1 million.
