It won’t be long before a new urgent care business opens in the building that previously was occupied by Med Express in Mountain Home. Washington Regional Urgent Care is scheduled to open by the middle part of January according to its area manager. Curt Marshall tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News, barring any delays in the remodel of the building, they plan on opening Jan. 20. Washington Regional Urgent Care is a joint venture between Washington Regional Medical Center and the Urgent Team family of urgent care and walk in centers.

Marshall says Washington Regional Urgent Care will offer a large number of services to their patients.

Marshall says the clinic will be open seven days a week. The only days they are closed during the year are Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. They accept most insurance. Following each visit, the information is sent to the patient’s primary care physician that evening.

The parent company, Urgent Team, is based in Nashville. They have eight brands in five states and operate over 80 centers.

Med Express sent an email to customers in mid-December announcing they were closing their doors Dec. 18. Any former patients who need their medical records can call 304-985-3636 or visit medexpress.com/medical-records.
