Baxter Co. Quorum Court to consider repeal of Airport Commission Tuesday night

The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet for their first session 2025 Tuesday night at 6 in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.

Items on the agenda include:

– the swearing in of new Justices of the Peace by Judge Suzie Layton;

– an ordinance to establish the procedures for the Quorum Court for fiscal years 2025 and 2026;

– an amending ordinance to repeal authority for the Baxter County Airport Commission operations and to establish a fund

– an ordinance designating the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office as the collector of all fines assessed in Circuit Court and District Court;

– an ordinance to appropriate fees and reimbursements in the amount of $7,878 collected in November tot he 2024 Sheriff’s Office budget;

– an ordinance to appropriate $22,541 from the Baxter County Library fund to the 2024 Baxter County Library budget;

– an ordinance to appropriate $15,000 into the Clarkridge Fire Department Arkansas Rural Community Grant fund;

– an ordinance to establish a 911 Advisory Board;

– a resolution to confirm the re-appointment of Rod Brackett to the Baxter County Planning Board; and

– a resolution authorizing the county judge to apply for a grant on behalf of the Lone Rock Volunteer Fire Protection District.
