Some of the snow was able to melt on Saturday due in part to the sun being out, but the white stuff is not completely gone. For a portion of area residents, the refreezing of the roads has been a concern.

Scott Manchester of the Mountain Home Street Department says crews have been concerned about ice patches overnight, but for the most part, the city streets are in good shape.

At the last available update, Marion County’s roads were expected to be passable starting Saturday night. Crews will be back out Monday morning to try to get the remainder of the snow removed.

Currently, IDriveArkansas.com shows the area’s major highways are clear. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map, Missouri Highway 5 is mostly clear throughout Ozark and Douglas counties, and U.S. Highway 160 is mostly clear from Gainesville and continuing east through Howell County.
