From humble beginnings on a small farm in Kansas to over 40 years in medicine, Baxter Health is inviting the public to celebrate and honor Dr. Paul Neis’ legacy of medical excellence. Dr. Neis’ retirement reception will be held Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 at Baxter Health in the Lagerborg Dining Room.
Dr. Neis explains what led him from Kansas to the Twin Lakes Area.

He always knew he wanted to practice medicine, despite not having any doctors in his family.

Dr. Neis says one of the most rewarding parts of his career is when he was able to bring healthcare access to patients that used to require traveling long distances.

Dr. Neis and his wife Dody are proud that their legacy is continuing with their children.

Dody and Paul plan to continue their many travels but Paul has more hobbies he looks forward to giving more time to with his retirement.
