Monday basketball schedule includes MHHS makeup games at Russellville

Basketball makes up much of the local Monday schedule and includes a makeup outing for the Mountain Home High School teams. The Bombers and Lady Bombers were originally set to play at Russellville on Jan. 10, but the games were moved due to snow.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 18-3 on the season and 4-1 in the 5A-West. The Lady Bombers picked up a five-point win Friday at Alma. Russellville is 6-15 and 1-4. The Lady Cyclones were most recently pounded by Farmington.
The Mountain Home boys are 10-11 overall and 0-5 in the league. The Bombers are coming off an 11-point loss at Alma. Russellville is 17-5 and 3-2. The Cyclones fell to Farmington on Friday.
The junior varsity boys’ game tips off at 5 at Cyclone Arena. The varsity contests begin around 6 and will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.

The Dora High School teams will be in Summersville for their openers in the Big Springs Conference Tournament. The Falcon boys face Koshkonong at 4, and Dora’s girls take on Van Buren at 5:15.

Elsewhere on the high school level, Norfork hosts Salem for three boys’ games, Flippin travels to Cave City for makeup games, Mammoth Spring entertains Cedar Ridge, Timbo is home against Rural Special, and Jasper makes the trip to Lamar.

Three of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will be Jonesboro for matchups with Nettleton. The eighth grade girls’ game begins at 5 followed by both freshman contests.

In other junior high basketball, Harrison hosts Greenwood for three boys’ games, and Harrison will send three girls’ teams to Greenwood.
