Monday basketball results include Norfork losing 3 boys’ games to Salem

Norfork ended up getting swept by Salem in three boys’ basketball games on Monday. The Panthers lost to the Greyhounds 56-42 in the senior high game. Norfork also fell to Salem in the junior high contest 46-39. The seventh grade game went down to the wire as Norfork was edged out by Salem 25-24.

Flippin ended up splitting its makeup high school games at Cave City. The Lady Bobcats invoked the mercy rule as they routed the Cavewomen 60-27. Flippin was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they lost to Cave City 62-54.

Dora had mixed results in its opening games of the Big Springs Conference Tournament at Summersville. The Falcons put the mercy rule in effect in the boys’ game as they pounded Koshkonong 69-35. Dora did not fare well on the girls’ side as they fell to Van Buren 62-59.

Mammoth Spring had one win as they hosted Cedar Ridge for four games. The Lady Bears lost the senior girls’ game to the Lady Timberwolves 62-33. The night wasn’t any better for Mammoth Spring’s senior boys as they fell to Cedar Ridge 77-32. Mammoth Spring’s lone victory came in the junior girls’ contest as they topped Cedar Ridge 36-17. Mammoth Spring lost the junior boys’ game 48-20.

The Timbo High School teams were swept at home by Rural Special. The Tigers fell to the Rebels 46-43 in the boys’ game. The girls’ contest ended with Timbo losing to Rural Special 54-10.

Jasper ended up getting swept in its high school games at Lamar. The boys’ game ended with the Pirates falling to the Warriors 79-64. Jasper also lost the girls’ contest to Lamar 80-35.
