Baxter Health’s Cline Emergency Center has earned the prestigious “Gold Tier” designation for Pediatric Readiness from the Arkansas Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) State Partnership Program. The recognition highlights the center’s commitment to providing top-tier emergency care for children.

The Gold Tier is awarded to facilities excelling in pediatric care, including preparedness, staff training, and specialized equipment. Baxter Health is now one of only three hospitals in Arkansas to receive this designation.

Efforts to achieve this milestone began after the 2022 Trauma Update Conference, where a team led by Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Caleb Pingel, collaborated across departments to enhance pediatric care. Their work included updates to policies, procedures, equipment, and medications, culminating in the highest possible readiness designation.

Dr. Pingel says the program helps the center prepare for rare emergencies.
