School Board candidate filing period runs from Feb. 24 to March 3

The candidate filing period for Arkansas School Board begins Feb. 24 at noon and closes March 3 at noon with election day being held May 13.

Five positions will be open for candidates in Baxter County including Norfork Position 1, Cotter Position 3 and Mountain Home Positions 1, 2 and 3.

Candidates must collect at least 20 verifiable signatures on their petitions. The petition circulation period is already underway.

The deadline to register to vote is April 14 and early voting begins May 6.
