During a special session Wednesday night, Norfork Public Schools Superintendent Chip Layne submitted his resignation to the district’s Board of Education, effective Feb. 7.
An interim superintendent has not yet been named.
Norfork is the fifth school district to announce a superintendent change for the 2024-25 school year. Cedar Ridge, Mammoth Spring, Calico Rock, and Batesville have also seen leadership transitions this year.
