A joint investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police into the death of a female last year has resulted into the arrest of a Flippin man. Sixty-five-year-old Michael Moore was booked Friday afternoon into the Marion County Law Enforcement Center on felony counts of manslaughter, maintaining a drug premises and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the death of Alisha Gauger.
According to Sheriff Gregg Alexander, deputies and first responders were called in April to a residence on Marion County Road 7057 after Moore stated he found the 41-year-old Gauger unresponsive. Deputies called for investigators, who processed the scene and collected evidence including drug paraphernalia and other items associated with the ingestion of illegal narcotics.
Gauger’s body was submitted to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy. The state medical examiner determined her death was caused by combined drug toxicity due to ingesting five different drugs, including Fentanyl, and ruled the manner of death was accidental.
Moore was released on a bond of $25,000 nearly 4 1/2 hours after being booked.
