
Izard County High School chess team
The Izard County High School chess team recently won the Class 1A-3A Regional Tournament on the campus of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. The win qualifies the Cougars for the state tournament.
Caden Trautt
Caden Trautt was named the most valuable player as finished with four wins and a draw to secure 4 1/2 points. Other team members include Xander McCandlis with four points, Jacob Stone with three, Carson Mahan with 2 1/2 and Joey Conway with two points.
Izard County is coached by Andrew Walker.
