A legendary rock and roll band will be going on tour later this year to promote its upcoming album, and an area venue will be among its stops. The Doobie Brothers are scheduled to perform Sept. 5 at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale as part of their Walk This Road Tour.
The tour will reunite the band’s lineup of Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee and Michael McDonald. The Doobie Brothers are set to release “Walk This Road,” the first album the four have put together in over four decades, on June 6.
The Coral Reefer Band will also perform as special guests at the outdoor amphitheater adjacent from Big Cedar Lodge in Taney County. VIP tickets will become available at 10 Tuesday morning, and tickets for the general public will go on sale beginning at 10 Friday morning.
