A number of local students have been recognized for their academic excellence in the Fall 2024 semester at Arkansas State University (ASU) in Jonesboro. The university recently announced its Chancellor’s and Dean’s lists, which honor undergraduate students who have achieved the highest academic standards while completing a minimum of 12 credit hours.
The Chancellors List (CL) includes students who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, while the Dean’s List (DL) recognizes students who earned a GPA between 3.6 and 3.99. These lists feature students from the university’s main campus in Jonesboro as well as its Campus Querétaro in Mexico.
From Baxter County, several students earned spots on both lists. The following students were named to the Chancellors List: Malia Beshears (Clarkridge), Lauren Goeke (Cotter), Gracie Uchtman (Gassville), Alexis Bates (Lakeview), Blake Luna (Lakeview), Kinsey Taylor (Lakeview), Jasmine Allen (Mountain Home), Mattie Belk (Mountain Home), Christopher Burkhart (Mountain Home), Faelan Burr (Mountain Home), Mikayla Carlton (Mountain Home), Shawna Case (Mountain Home), Lauren Dewey (Mountain Home), Talon Estes (Mountain Home), Celinie Flowers (Mountain Home), Emma Hale (Mountain Home), Matty Horn (Mountain Home), Merick King (Mountain Home), Haley Moore (Mountain Home), Anna O’Connor (Mountain Home), Kaitlyn Richard (Mountain Home), Mandelyn Smeltzer (Mountain Home), Laney Stout (Mountain Home), Gianna Taylor (Mountain Home), Dustin Tucker (Mountain Home), and Sydnie Zimmer (Mountain Home).
The following students from Baxter County earned spots on the Deans List: Michael Altenbaumer (Gassville), Lance Cunningham (Gassville), Adrian King (Gassville), Emma Martin (Midway), Kiah Beard (Mountain Home), Natalie Bruce (Mountain Home), Royce Dieckhoff (Mountain Home), Caitlyn Fitzgerald (Mountain Home), Samuel Hoskins (Mountain Home), Isaiah Kemp (Mountain Home), Gretchen Kerns (Mountain Home), Jessica McMahon (Mountain Home), Nicole Rodriguez (Mountain Home), Katie Rorie (Mountain Home), Zeke Sanders (Mountain Home), Abby Taylor (Mountain Home), Kevin Von Bergmann (Mountain Home), Kenna Vostatek (Mountain Home), Ashley Vredenburg (Mountain Home), Olivia Wham (Mountain Home), and Karoline Yeakley (Mountain Home).
From Marion County, the following students earned recognition: Ruby Ludvigsen (Bull Shoals) was named to the Chancellors List, while Sidney Wire (Bull Shoals) earned a spot on the Deans List. Carolyn Lightsey (Flippin) and Hope Rackley (Flippin) were both named to the Chancellors List, with Ashley Fischer (Flippin) earning a place on the Deans List. Kaitlynn Everroad (Oakland) was named to the Chancellors List, and Payton McGee (Yellville) earned a spot on the Chancellors List. Sabrina Kreinbrook (Yellville) was placed on the Deans List.
Additionally, Delaney Faulkner (Norfork) and Madison Hall (Norfork) were both named to the Chancellors List for their academic achievements.
These academic honors reflect the students’ dedication to their studies and their commitment to excellence at Arkansas State University. The recognition highlights not only their individual accomplishments but also the support they receive from their communities and families.
