Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) has reported a notable increase in spring enrollment for 2025, with a headcount of 1,266 students, marking an 11% rise over the previous year. Chancellor Bentley Wallace expressed enthusiasm about the growth, emphasizing that the strong enrollment figures reflect the value and return on investment offered by the university.
“We are thrilled with the large increase in enrollment for the spring semester,” Wallace said. “As students and their parents consider quality, value, and return on investment in higher education, more and more they are making ASUMH their first choice.”
The university’s reach continues to grow, with students now attending from nine different states. Among the programs with the highest enrollment are the Associate of General Studies (AGS), pre-nursing, Associate of Arts (AA), Registered Nursing, Business (Associate of Science), Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Health Professions, Professional Medical Coding, Welding, Automotive Systems Repair, Criminal Justice, and Funeral Science.
In its efforts to further enhance student success and retention, ASUMH has introduced a new Student Success Center on the third floor of Roller Hall. The center offers a variety of services, including career assessment tools, interview preparation, and resume writing assistance. Additionally, it provides advising and early alert services aimed at supporting students who may be struggling in their classes. Certified college career coaches work closely with at-risk students to ensure they receive the support and guidance needed to persist and succeed at ASUMH.
