MHHS boys finish 4th, girls end up 13th in state swim meet; Caleb Due breaks 2 school records

The Mountain Home High School swim teams wrapped up their season on Saturday by competing in the Class 5A State Meet at the Russellville Aquatic Center.

The Bombers finished fourth on the boys’ side with the title going to Little Rock Christian. Caleb Due led the way as he broke two school records. Due passed his own mark as he won the 100-yard backstroke in 53.53 seconds, and he was also second in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.76 seconds. Benny Vetter was second in the 100-yard freestyle, beating his seed time by 1.32 seconds. Mountain Home also took second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Lady Bombers ended up 13th in the team standings. Peeka Traver finished third in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly.
