A Stone County man has been charged with rape after his landlord’s underage daughter became pregnant. Twenty-four-year-old Shane Allen Gilbert of Mountain View was arrested Thursday afternoon.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Gilbert had been renting a camper from the landlord until the man caught his 13-year-old daughter twice coming out of the camper. The landlord evicted Gilbert at that point.
Medical professionals confirmed the girl is pregnant.
Gilbert is being held in the Stone County Jail on one count of rape, a Class Y felony, the most serious crime in Arkansas not punishable by the death penalty. His bond is set at $100,000.
