2 Day Garage Sale at the Oakland Community Center
Friday, April 11th & Saturday April 12th: 9am to 2pm
Featuring several vendors including homemade cheesecakes & pastries.
The Busy Bee Quilters will be on site with locally-made crafts & gifts. Nobody beats the BEES!
Saturday starts with the annual SxS and ATV Poker Run to benefit the Oakland Library. Registration at 9:30am. Enjoy a purchase from the Coffee & Homemade Goodie Bar while signing up. The Poker ride is 9:30am to 1:30pm, $20 per participant. Stops will be in both Oakland and Promise Land.
After the poker run, stay for lunch! Charcoal grilled hamburgers & hot dogs available for purchase from 11am to 2pm. Sodas & bottled water will be for sale both days.
Take a chance on the 50/50 Jar. Tickets: $1 each or 6 for $5. You do not need to be present to win.
Finish your day by swinging down to the Oakland Marina and over to Ozark Isle. Enjoy our miles of scenic trails and wildlife!
For those of you who are interested in setting up a stall to sell merchandise:
$10 covers a stall for both days. Add $10 & we’ll provide a table & 2 chairs to your stall. All stalls are outside. To reserve a vendor stall, contact Marcie Christensen 816-719-3670.
Oakland is an easy drive: Take 202 off of Hwy 5 to the community center on the right hand side. The community center is attached to the Post Office and next to the Fire Dept. We will be waiting for you!!
