Saturday, March 16, from 9 am until 12 noon, Alley-White Post 52 & Auxiliary Unit 52 will host a birthday open house and invite everyone in the community in to see what we have to offer. The Legion Hut is located at 717 Market Street in Mountain Home.
This event will take place in conjunction with the weekly Saturday morning coffee social, so coffee and donuts will be available to all in attendance. Unit 52 will also provide a decorated birthday cake in celebration of the anniversary of the founding of both the national organization (March 15-19, 1919, in Paris, France, 105 years ago) and Alley-White Post 52 (March 20, 1920, 104 years ago).
Display tables will be set up and American Legion & American Legion Auxiliary literature will be available for prospective members. Any veteran who served at least one day of active duty since December 7, 1941, and was honorably discharged is eligible to join. In addition, eligible veterans’ spouses, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters are welcome to join the Auxiliary.
