Baxter County Community Service Project, Hosted by Baxter County 4-H
Saturday, March 23rd, 12:00 -4:30 pm
Baxter County 4-H and Good Samaritan invite members of the community to come out and join them in a day to assist the facility in a spring cleaning of the green house and garden beds. The day will start with a 12:00 brown bag lunch and organizational meeting at the facility pavilion. Work will commence with a clean up time of 3:00pm so that everyone may join in snacks and bingo game with the residents. Participants should bring their lunch, drinks, gardening tools, gloves and clothing appropriate for outdoor work. Donations of seeds, started vegetable and flower plants, and gardening supplies would be greatly appreciated.
The facility is in need of community members who are able and willing to volunteer to oversee garden beds and bird feeders on a regular and ongoing basis. If you are a high schooler in need of mandatory hours? If you are an adult transitioning between careers or moving into semi or full retirement? We need you! Please come join us, meet the staff and the residents, and see how your time, skills and efforts can truly benefit our community. Please be sure and RSVP to the Baxter County 4H office at 870-425-2335, so we know how many to plan for.
