BC Library – Family Astronomy: Telescope Basics

October 6, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

What is a telescope and how do I use it? It may seem intimidating to check out and be responsible for an expensive piece of equipment. Or perhaps you have recently purchased a new telescope, or you have a child who wants a telescope for Christmas or a birthday. This class is the answer to your families’ questions about telescopes. Matthew Van Landingham will cover basic types of telescopes, how to use them, and how to care for, and maintain your own telescope. Please bring your telescope if you would like to learn more about it as each one is different.
