BC Library – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Jacob Wolf House

March 27 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

The Jacob Wolf House Historic Site: The Future of the Past is a PowerPoint program that promotes the development, preservation, protection, and promotion of this early nineteenth-century frontier community known as Liberty, Arkansas.

Marlon Mowdy is the manager of the Jacob Wolf House Historic Site in Norfork. He has been employed with the State of Arkansas for twenty-eight years. He has worked in different managerial roles for Arkansas State Parks, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, US Fish and Wildlife Service and is finishing out his career with the Department of Arkansas Heritage. Marlon has master’s degrees in History and Heritage Studies. The Jacob Wolf House Historic Site was acquired from the Baxter County Quorum Court in 2017 and is being developed today as the State of Arkansas’s newest historic site. The site interprets the early American Frontier up through the Civil War.

Join us for an informative and entertaining gathering where all are welcome. Stay up-to-date with the latest Library updates and enjoy a program and refreshments. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends who share a love for books, the Library, and our community.
