- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration.
- When: Monday, January 15 6:00-6:30 PM
- Where: Hickory Park in Mountain Home. The lower parking lot and pavilion.
- What: a brief service to commemorate Dr. King’s legacy of peace, unity, nonviolence, and service.
The event will include an opening prayer, readings of excerpts from Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, a candle lighting ceremony (assuming there’s no wind), and closing remarks. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are provided.
It’s free and open to all.
It’s gonna be an outdoor event and it’s gonna be cold so folks should bundle up.
