Mountain Home Education Association Town Hall

In response to legislative developments in the LEARNS ACT and the impact on teachers, [Mountain Home Education Association] MHEA is pleased to announce a special meeting to discuss the implications and adaptations required by the new laws. The meeting, scheduled for January 29, 6:00pm at Hackler Intermediate Cafeteria, will focus on key aspects of the education law changes, aiming to ensure that teachers have the best information at the forefront for compliance and educational excellence. This meeting is open to anyone in the public, Mountain Home Educators as well as Educators in any of our area schools. You do not need to be a member to attend this town hall. We would appreciate you reserving a spot at our Facebook page ; facebook.com/mheducationassociation so we can plan for snacks and seating.

Items set for review are:

  1. Changes to the PPC (Personnel Policy and Procedures): Learn about the latest revisions and updates to our PPC.
  2. Evaluations: Gain insights into the new evaluation processes that have been implemented to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  3. Hiring and Assignment Decisions: Learn how the new law affects these decisions.
  4. Growth Plans and Documentation: Get an overview of changes for our growth plans and artifact collection.
  5. Code of Ethics Changes: Understand the refinements made to our Code of Ethics.
  6. Non-Renewal and Termination Procedures: Get clarity on how LEARNS has affected contracts and the loss of Teacher Fair Dismissal.
